About Us

Children Learn Islam by Doing, Not Just Reading

Children of Islam is a not-for-profit project that publishes beautifully designed Islamic activity books for children. Our aim is to implant in our children the love of Islam through the Qur'an and Sunnah — one activity at a time.

📖 Our Story
From a weekend classroom to books in 6 countries

Children of Islam began as a weekend Islamic school — a small gathering of children learning their deen through hands-on activities, colourful lessons and creative reinforcement.

Over time, we realised something powerful: when children do something — colour it, trace it, match it, write it — the learning sticks. Lecturing didn't work. Activities did.

So we turned our classroom material into published books. Each one is carefully designed for a specific age group, covering a single Islamic topic — Aqeedah, Dua, Salah, or the Stories of the Prophets — with clear explanations followed by fun, engaging activities.

Today, our books are used by families and schools across Pakistan, Kuwait, Bahrain, UK, USA and Canada, with more than 3,000 children having learned through them.

🎯 Our Mission
Nurturing a love of Islam through the Qur'an and Sunnah

We run a re-imagined Weekend Islamic School where children don't just listen — they learn by doing. Our curriculum uses colourful explanations, hands-on activities, and outdoor learning to make Islamic education something children genuinely enjoy.

Our trained teachers receive a teacher's guide for each book, so the approach can be used at weekend Islamic schools worldwide.

💡 Our Approach
Concept first. Activity second. Retention always.

Every topic in our books begins with a clear, age-appropriate explanation — then reinforces it with a creative activity: colouring, tracing, matching, or writing. The pairing is deliberate. When a child physically engages with a concept, the learning sticks far deeper than passive reading ever could.
